Skin Update

Getting closer! I have got the vendor now worked out with a look and feel so heading forward with pictures and placing objects within objects (so labour intensive) designers in SL really do work hard. A little anxious about how they will be received, I think they are nice and look great I hope others think the same. Had some great feedback from people so I do hope they go well.
Truth and I stayed up late last night shooting the face shots it was getting really boring I have to admit. But woke up to some little zip files in my inbox with my pictures so it was worth it in the end.
We came up with things to offer with the skin so a purchase includes Skin,Shape,Hair (Truth made),Lashes and face light. Price 1250L.
Truth paid me for my building in a gift card system which seems like a good idea. Set that up the guy that sells it is really nice and friendly so made life easy.
So next post should be close to having complete set of skins (series of 5 makeups and tones) and then open!

Build 02

Really close to opening, the sim is looking great and I just finished one more line of make ups. Truth decided to go with the Villa look as well so I created a larger version for him with a different color render. Turned out well, was more difficult in scale and had to hide a few problems but happy with it.

Build

To build or not to build.

I just finished my build for Arcane last night and really happy with the outcome "Italian Villa" with modern fit out. Really enjoy texturing in RL so it was great fun to throw textures about in SL. Building in SL was not as challenging as I heard it was. I used a combination of just doing the math and placing by eye and PrimDocker that Truth suggested giving a go ( I did not like it initially but became very useful for speed of wall alignment) great little tool.

Had some great feedback on the skins so far and plan to have them complete really soon. It is really exciting all this for me as it is working for me which is very rare in RL design work as it is never quite the outcome you want when the client is involved.

I have a hooded top to complete, the hood was based off Assassins Creed dark cloaked style hood which I want to try to adapt to be more fashionable, I have an idea hope it works out.

That's it for me. Back to PS.

First Post

Just a little post for me really. As I progress along with my skin line I wanted to post random face and body shots to document my progression. Skinning in SL is not as easy as in the real world as seams are very important and can't be Photoshop'd out on the fly. So I found after piecing together body parts color matching and throwing some smart sharpen, blurring and adding noise and so on another challenge was makeup which for a "boy's boy" isn't the easiest thing to put together but in saying that I have progressed through my first two of five options that will be available. In the future I may post a tutorial on how I get all the bits together. It may amaze the SL customer how many bits of a number of different real life photo resource models you are wearing :)

Well if you ever stumble across my SL content journal feel free to comment. Above is a quick picture of the color tones that will be available soon.
